Selling Your Informational Ebook to Make Money Online
THE INTERNET MONEY TREE
Because we not only live in the information age, but also in an age where time is precious, we can use this angle to gain a strategic
Ebooks (electronic books) are all over the online world on many different subjects, in many different languages giving people the ease of finding everything they need to know, and more, on any given particular topic. So why not cash in on this fact that you have in front of you?
Take this example. You have a very large garden and you love playing golf. You decide that you want to get a competitive edge over your opponents when you play so you make the decision to build your very own professional putting green out the back of your house. Do you have hours upon hours to search on how to do this? Do you want to sift through information that is of use and that isnâ€TMt? Can you differentiate between which is tried and tested and which is just theory? Would you even want to? Maybe you do…but my guess is that you donâ€TMt and I know damn well if it was me I would rather pay $45 or more to find out something that works straight away so I can have my putter out in no time.
The power of an ebook is that all those problems get solved instantly on download.
The principles of making a profitable ebook are simple, so letâ€TMs take a look at the basic model for creating and marketing a successful ebook campaign.
Firstly you need to know that you donâ€TMt even need to be able to write to make a great ebook. If you put the research in there are plenty of great writers out there that will do all the writing for you for a nominal cost. But letâ€TMs say you are going to do this yourself.
To start off we need to find a profitable topic or area to write about, some thing that shows us there is demand for an info product and that there is money being made in that area. This is known as a niche. There are many great articles out there on how to find a niche and
When trying to find a niche we need to remember that we are trying to solve a problem or problems, or trying to tell someone how to do something. You can find this information by looking for hot topics or controversial topics in forums or news groups…look for subjects that have a lot of interest.
Once we have the idea of what we are going to solve we need to research how to do or how to solve it. Spend time looking in resources on the online world taking notes, getting ideas for chapters and sub chapters in your book, maybe even areas where you can use audio or visual accompaniments to your book. Aim to over deliver because this will lead to you becoming seen as an expert in your chosen topic, also it will gain the trust of your customers and reduce the rate of refunds. A satisfied customer is a happy customer.
Now that we have the valuable information we need to start putting it together in a methodical, logical way so that the reader will easily be able to understand and carry out your instructions etc. Write clearly, add images and resources that the reader will find valuable. Think about what you would want from a product that you have bought, I know this helps me to really deliver the wow factor.
Once your product is finished get a few close friends to look at it, ask questions and constructively criticize it, make sure you answer all those questions in your product!
Now that you have your product you need to market it to your target audience. To do this you need a sales page and a payment processor. Many marketers with information products use Clickbank. Clickbank will hire people that are called affiliates to sell your product for you on a commission only basis which is usually between 50 and 75 percent of the final price. These people will originate sales that you never had so donâ€TMt baulk at the rates. They also use their own money and resources to promote your product so itâ€TMs pretty fair.
So now you have sales coming in from your own promotions and your affiliates, you should be thinking about finding people in your niche
Donâ€TMt forget to capture peoples email addresses when they visit your sales page either, because even if they donâ€TMt buy anything, by sending out a valuable newsletter these people could certainly well become future paying customers.
This is only a very brief outline of how to start creating and selling information products, on each of the parts I have mentioned there is a wealth of knowledge on the Internet that can go more in depth, ultimately teaching you how to be highly successful in each area. Donâ€TMt delay and become a student of the business. It makes sense… literally dollars and sense!
