The biggest complaint I’ve heard from people on marketing forums and in emails I’ve received is, “I don’t have the money it takes to invest in the products and tools I need to get started on the Internet.

The information in this tutorial series will get you the money you need to invest in your self and your online business. How much money? It’s up to you but I hear time and time again, “How can I come up with $1000 in a couple of weeks,” or “How can I get this or that on the Internet if I don’t have the money I need?”

You can use the method presented in this tutorial series to make your $1000 or whatever amount of seed money you need and then stop. Or, you can keep on growing your Online Local Directory to be as large as you want it to be. It’s no secret what this tutorial series is about. As the sales page you read stated and as the Intro to this tutorial series says, it’s about how I started a small online directory for local business people in my area to advertise in and how I started it with nothing but My PC, my Internet connection plus time and hard work.

It really seemed to me that I was able to pull money out of thin air. So below you will read how I did it and how you can do it too. The method below is only one way to start a directory. Study the ideas and change them to fit your circumstances.

WHAT IS AN ONLINE LOCAL DIRECTORY?

When I started my online local directory I thought mine was the very first one, of course it wasn’t but I honestly didn’t know of any others.

I knew that there were many other directories but they all covered much larger areas than could be defined as “local,” they were nationwide if not worldwide. My definition of a online local directory is, a website that advertises businesses in my area, businesses that I can contact in person and talk to the owners or managers face to face.

My goal was to earn enough money with my online local directory to finance other online projects that I was interested in. It wasn’t my plan to make an online directory and have it be the end all be all of my ‘make money online‘ endeavors. Nor was it my goal to make quick money and drop my online local directory when I reached my goal, however, it was my plan to earn the money I needed to invest in myself and my other projects, and “let the online local directory ride,” that is, keep on living forever, advertising my customers’ businesses for as long as they wanted to be on the Internet.

It was my plan to stop selling new accounts when I had the money to implement my bigger dreams. My dream of having an online business did not include working that hard indefinitely. I still accept new accounts but I’m not active in selling now. I made the money I needed and now my online local directory just sets there in cyberspace advertising my original customers’ businesses.
